Thank you for your interest in DMQ Review. We are extremely proud of our 22 YEAR history as one of the longest continuously running online journals in the nation. It has been our privilege to publish the work of both established and emerging poets and to do so without submission or subscription fees, featuring award-winning poetry with art since 1998. We welcome American and international voices from all cultural identities in the English language.
We are interested in skillfully crafted poems. We seek work that represents and invigorates the diversity of contemporary poetry and demonstrates literary excellence whether it be lyric, free verse, prose, or experimental mode.
Our current call is for Prose Poems ONLY.
The DMQ Virtual Salon launched in July 2020 featuring three poets reading from their new books. Please contact Editors at email@example.com if you have a 2020 or newer indie press poetry book and would like to participate in this ongoing event.
Prose Poem Issue Submissions open in September for our Second Prose Poem Issue.
Check out our About page for more detail.
We hope you will SUBSCRIBE HERE for new issue releases and updates. Reading DMQ Review is the best way to know what we like. Thanks for reading with us.
Please include up to THREE unpublished prose poems in one document, one poem per page, 500 words or less. Reading our current prose poem issue is the best way to determine if your work might be right for us. Submissions are open until December 12.
Submit your best work early. DMQ Review reserves the right to close submissions when capacity is reached. This will be announced on our Facebook page. Follow us there.
We regret to note that our website host doesn't support the full justification that many prose poets prefer. We do our best to recreate a blocky shape. Please review our current issue to preview results.
